“I qualified in beauty therapy locally in 2006, and since have dreamt of having my own salon. After working in finance since 1987, being able to work from home enables me to have a better work-life balance. I understand the pressures of the corporate world and know how stressful this can be for some people.
My idea was to offer a bespoke service to clients, being really flexible on times to fit in with people’s busy lifestyles and create a salon where people feel comfortable, a bit like a home-from-home. I love the varied nature of beauty therapy and being able to help people relax and feel better about themselves.
In addition to the salon I volunteer for “Look Good, Feel Better” a charity dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of people undergoing treatment for cancer. Together we hope to improve their self-image and appearance through complimentary group, individual and self-help beauty sessions that create a sense of support, confidence, courage and community.
