Previously the Town residence of a leading Victorian entrepreneur, Les Cotils is an attractive period mansion in an unrivalled parkland setting of 12 acres – open to the public – with stunning sea views but with new, modern facilities. It offers fine dining in the Swiffen Restaurant and Bar, where the accent under Head Chef Bob Till is on traditional French, Italian and English cuisine but using the freshest, locally sourced produce and seafood plus Middle Eastern specials from Sous Chef Abdul Hassanein.
The restaurant has build an outstanding reputation for excellent food and service and is passionate about providing seasonality, freshness and variety in all that is served and a carefully-selected wine list should suit every palette. Although in the centre of Town there is ample parking and no pressure the following day if you choose to leave your car overnight. With 26 en suite rooms we welcome overnight guests and can provide a full breakfast the following morning.
Les Cotils is also a favourite choice for Sunday lunch, which always features a choice of freshly cooked joints of meat with all the trimmings, a choice of freshly prepared starters, hot and cold, and a selection of desserts. Priced at £17.95 per person, lunch is available from 12pm until 2.00pm – booking recommended. For food during the day, our Coffee Shop and Bistro provides morning coffee, afternoon tea and a selection of cakes, snacks and hot meals plus home-made daily specials – and stunning sea views towards the other islands.
