About

From freshly cooked local meals, light but tasty bites, to ice cold beers and award winning wines. Drinking and eating are among life’s most simple pleasures, so get the best of both in our Wellington Boot, in the Grill Room Restaurant and in the Saddle Bar.

Guernsey has often been described as the Channel Island paradise for Gourmets. Hotel de Havelet is home to two of the most popular St. Peter Port restaurants: The Wellington Boot Restaurant and The Havelet Grill, both located in the hotel's converted coach house.

The name "Wellington Boot" is due to local legend which tells of a liaison between Henrietta Le Marchant and the Duke of Wellington, and the Duke arranging for part of the house to be rebuilt before Henrietta is hurriedly married to a Captain de Courncey.

The Wellington Boot Restaurant - this first floor restaurant has splendid views over the Castle Cornet and its neighbouring island’s Herm and Sark and enjoys a more formal dining experience and is perfect for a celebration gathering. Al la carte and table d’hote menus available.
